Anybody out there? I'm new to the bike and the board, but would love to meet up and ride some time!

excellent
i'm trying to get a ride together with some of my buddies on saturday. depending on which buddies go it might be a slow newbie ride or it might be a somewhat irresponsible one. let me know if anyone is interested.
I can go if its a noob ride- can't get stopped, bike reg is < legal atm.
welcome to the area!
nice to see such a large group of GS'ers in the DC area. I'm a native, but I just bought a place in Haymarket, VA. I will be using it as a launching point for some rides into the Shenandoah region (just in time for some fall color!). I'll be posting up on the meet n greet when my place is ready to show off :-)
man, haymarket is a great base camp for some good riding! lucky you!
this ride was awesome if you haven't already been on these roads.

wow that ride looks great, hopefully another ride there gets together before the end of the season!
Hey gang. I think its time to start kicking around some dates for a possible scoot out toward (and hopefully onto) Skyline Drive. I'm offering up my place as a pre- or post-ride meeting oasis for those who might want to roll over from a ways out.
I'm thinking one weekend in October. Any interest? Suggested weekends?
i'm in. 11th or 18th works best for me. might have to make this one my farewell ride on my gs. just bought an sv1k

Monday, October 12th is a holiday. I might be free on one of the days during the holiday weekend. Have the leaves started turning by then?

Columbus day weekend sounds good for me. Just waiting on some tires and then I'm GTG. Should be here any day now... >:(
I'm noticing a trend here. Looks like the Columbus Day weekend might be the way to go. I am pretty sure I can do that. I'm penciling this into my calendar right now. I'll research a good route and post up some details in a week or so. :thumb:
Hooray! New tires arrived in the mail today, got them mounted at this dude's garage and managed to get the wheels back on the bike tonight. Test ride went fine, so I'm ready to go. Can't wait to see what you come up with for the C-bus day ride!
:woohoo:
