I am replacing my stock exhaust with another stock exhaust due to damage. Will the 1996 exhaust fit a 2000. I assuming it will but need to make sure before I buy. thanks.
96-2000 ... 89=2000 and all in between.
And wht the Fsck are you changing the stock pipe with another stock pipe ...
Cool.
Buddha.
Mine is Fscked, and I found another for 50 bucks, thats why.
Oh yea ... well ... I dont see how the stock can be Fcuked any more than the factory did it.
I'd run a crunched can no problem.

But will the bike get better performance if you put a newer pipe on the older bike? I see the head pipes are the same size but the mid pipe into the muffler is bigger along with a bigger exit on the muffler.
Yes, 15 hp at the crank with a newer exhaust!!!!!!!
If you change to another exhaust you will increase flow which equals performance. But that means you need more fuel which means a rejet. When you rejet you might as well go for a lunchbox as well. See how it cascades.
Bike has been jetted and has a K&N already. I think it had a pipe on it before he bought it.
Thanks for the info.
Does anyone know if the older one(and the new one) have a catalytic converter? I was thinking that might be the reason for the fat part down there
