Title: Who wants R6 shocks.
Post by: The Buddha on August 04, 2009, 09:59:18 AM
I am likely going to raid some junkyards this weekend. Damn chopper needing dirt bike parts ... grrrrr ...

I know there is 1-2 of these getting split in some of em. So year is 07-08 right, OK, I will take preorders for them, but remember I only may be able to press test them, not open them just yet. So they will only be tested for leaks and a general ... bouncy bouncy ... which I could do on the bike itself ... I dont recall one of it having a wheel though ... so ...  :dunno_black: ... but I got test equipment that will let me bouncy bouncy with it.

Anyway, I've asked em and they said 50 bucks, and my work on it is 2 mins, so I'd not care for adding to it. 50 and shipping and I should get to shipping it early next week.

Cool.

GSXR 90-95 750, and 91-98 1100 I believe.
I have one of those ... in fact there is a 750 and a 1100 I got, I'd sell the 750 for 75 and 1100 for 50, and some shaving on the linkage/frame may be required with either. These I got sittng around, opened tested etc etc ...
Cool.

Same as 750 and it has a red bull can sized reservoir, not a coke can sized one.

In some ways its superior to the 750. The reound is in the side of the clevise and adjusts with a screwdriver instead of in the crotch of the clevise and a giant sized black dial. On a GS you would never find a difference between the 1100 and the 750, but all the 1100 guys upgrade to the 750.

In a way that is why its cheaper. Less demand, however 750's sold nearly 5 to 1 over 1100's and so the 1100 shocks are rare as well.

Thanks for the warning/info ... more for the others here ... cos, I would buy only one that has the clevise on the bottom, I dont fleabay the stuff, I pick up after testing ...  :icon_mrgreen: ... sometimes when the crap is bad and I have proved it to them, they give to me free ...  :icon_mrgreen: ... as a result I have tons of broken sheiete.
Cool.
