So my 92 GS500 has a real hard time staying on.
A little back story:
The bike sat in my shed for the last year and a half. I know I'm an idiot. :icon_mrgreen: My niece just passed her MSF coarse so I figured I'd give it to her so she can practice her skills before she decides to buy a new one. She and her boyfriend have changed the oil and filter, fuel filter, plugs, cleaned the carbs and put fresh gas in the tank. She says it now at least starts but won't stay running for very long. Maybe a few minutes before it stalls.
Any ideas?
Petcock at the bottom of tank. Check if its open ...
Also they should check for fuel flow from frame petcock to carbs ... put in prime for a few mins and then start ...
Cool.
Buddha.
Bump.
Thanks Buddha. I'll let them know.
Well, problem solved. She bought a Ducati Monster. But now i have it back and it's my problem now. Oy this bike is in rough shape. :embarrassed:
