Post by: ridata3 on August 08, 2009, 05:12:57 PM
i thought that the 3rd eye mirror stock hex screw was supposed to fit nicely on the gs500, but its too small and I tried buying the next size up and thats too big, what should i do?

The next size up is too big? Could you be mixing metric/standard size screws?

You need an M6x1 (by whatever length works) METRIC screw. At least on the old bars, and I would expect the newer ones that are not welded in still use the same size thread. Whenever buying hardware for a Japanese motorcycle, think metric by default.

Hm.. no answers on my question yet, but judging by the responses in this thread, it's a bar-end mirror?

Yep, bar end mirrors. They actually made for bicycles, but they work pretty well on a motorcycle for $10 a piece.............
