You know how youtube is all 'corporate presence' and crap now ? How, you can't sample someone else's recording, and add it to your video ? How you can't even have CLIPS of their video/music in a compilation ?
OK, I'm done with youtube. If I have to wait 35 seconds for each 2 second section of a video while watching a REALVIDEO spinning hourglass, i will. I'm so sick of the music/movie industry f%$king up everything they touch.
Three of my videos were banned because of "copyright infringment issues" when there was no music, not even a logo in any of the scenes. Stupid youtube. Good riddance. Who's up ?
Yeah, the corporatization of U-Tube does suck.
Friends of mine used to put How-to-play vids up for guitar players and they even got yanked.
They have some file matching software that catches stuff as its being downloaded.
Are there any other music sites ? Vimeo ??
The dinosauraus muzic industry is breathing its last gasps......musicians today realize how totally
unnecessary all the industry bloat is and are going DIY by the zillions. The olde skool A-Holes who
promote the dead, useless corporate stuff are going to have to change or watch their music die by
their own greed..

ive appealed 24 of those wmg claims, i did this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0HIW82r5_c&feature=channel_page
go on youtube search yamahonkawazuki, all but 5 or 6 of my vids i had to do an appeal on. and all but one of the appeals was successful. ( fair use act)
meh i like to watch accidents and zit/boils and infections getting cut out. that is my youtube :)
and yet Puff Daddy is still a millionaire for doing nothing but stealing other bands songs. oh well....
speaking of youtube, any of you guys watch Tosh.0 last night? That show cracks me up
yeah 99% of the time if you appeal the nurfing with the fair use act you will get your stuff re-enabled, funny enough there was a youtube video showing the process. I agree that one shouldn't have to jump through those hoops all the time when there is absolutely nothing wrong with what was done. As long as you aren't using the videos for profit fair use covers 99.9% of the material nurfed by youtube.
yuppers :)
