I found this bike, and consider it to pretty much be one of the greatest looking bikes I've ever seen, so i thought I should share.....

I've always been crazy about the early 90s gsxr1100, I'm not a huge guy though, so I doubt I'll ever own one, because you've gotta be well over 6 foot to pull off a seat like that. Plenty more here if you guys are interested in those kinda things.....

I really can't stand that German-started seat trend. I think it looks unbelievably stupid.

alpha id edit that and say it looks unbelievably UNCOMFORTABLE
i don't really think it's all that great looking. but, different strokes for different folks.
There's a lot of the upward german style tails I don't like as much, like these two.....

but I think first one looks pretty good on the bike. I've always been fond of the bikes made out of that version of gsxr, with some dual headlights and and a ducati 916 tail, or anything along those lines. I think most of the newer bikes that still have normal tails on them just tend to look like stunt bikes, or bikes people have crashed and were too lazy to fix, so atleast with these tails you can tell someone put the effort in. The bobbers on the other hand, I can not get used to........

+1.
I thought streetfighters were made to LOOK MENACING. Those tails look like it's just a handy spot for the rider to sit on and spin.
Tail does look Idiotic and un comfortable. And what Idiot clamps the nitrous bottle onto the cylinders.
Oh yea he's running nitrous ... oh yea ... oooo ... what's that back there ... the stock air box ... aaaah ... OK.
Looking for power, the first thing you toss is the airbox ... :cookoo: nitrous ... yea right ...
Cool.
Buddha.

Couldn't have said it better myself :thumb:
those tails just look funny. Ruin the lines of the bike, IMO

I can't see the picture while I'm at work to check, but the bottle is probably the new coolant resevoir. They like to take aluminum bottles and strap them on right around there instead of the giant clear plastic one. I could be wrong though since I'm just going off memory though.
I do think most of them look uncomfortable when the tail is angled up like that, but I'm too short to ever even worry about trying it because I'd never be able to reach the ground from up there. I think it's a combo of the fact that some people just like a tail that points up, but also that you can't just keep lifting a seat higher, or else you'd eventually end up with a street bike that looks like a dirtbike with the seat on the tank, so atleast this way part of the seat is a bit taller for those guys that are comfortably over 6 foot tall, and also, I picture a lot of these bikes spending so much time on one wheel, that the back end is actually at a normal angle most of the time anyway. When you see a picture of a guy riding a wheelie with a tail like that they're always just sitting on it comfortable instead of trying to hold on from falling off the back.
Hey, thanks for sharing! :thumb:
That thing is hideous...
:icon_razz: ;)
Haha, man you guys are so much nicer on the normal GS forum! I'm never sharing again.
most of those seats/tails look more like launching pads........
Two things come to mind when i see bikes with those tails..
A... DAMNENIT Somebody just got rear-ended
and B... A cat in heat with its arse in the air....
pretty kewl but not my thing
i have to be honest, that seat-after-ejection look has never appealed to me..... but to each his own
