Title: Full exhaust system
Post by: Hondatwo on August 10, 2009, 01:28:21 PM
If I was to buy a full exhaust system from the USA....where is the best place to buy from ?

Systems in Oz are waaaaay overpriced, so it is worth buying in the USA while our $$$ is stronger, & having it sent over.

Thanks  :)

No. Shipping and import taxes would make it more expensive, most likely.

^^^^ definately not......a full system here will cost about $750 AUD.......your systems are about $350 to $400USD from what I have seen advertised around the 'traps'.....plus postage of approx $100 USD......I would still be way in front.....& the $$$ keeps improving too, so that is a bonus  :)

Purchased a system for the wifes VTR1000 about 2 years ago from JC Motors....great guys to deal with & cheap.....we saved a heap of money.....but they have no GS systems apparently.

So any ideas on where/who to buy from for best price & relaible service?

Cheers

Try this place http://www.starcycle.com/ I got my Jardine through them about 2-3 years ago they were a good group and well priced, they marked the system as a warranty so I was able to get around the taxes and duty. The whole system to my door was cheaper then a staintunes slip-on but once you buy the filter and if like me you stick it on the dyno it becomes a bit more expensive then the staintune but worth the money. :thumb:

I just got a full system delivered from the US cost me a little over $500 and it got to my door in a week and a half.

its a much better price than anything i could find here one place wanted 1K for a SS slipon i laughed and asked how much for the carbonfiber one...

Now i am waiting for the jets to arive (yes also cheaper to get them from oversease) so i can put everything on... They are at 3 weeks postage now.

I got my Jardine system at Pipe City.   Very nice folks to deal with.   Love the exhaust....think it was like $349.00 or so.

I shopped around a little i got it from starcycle because there price was cheaper after postage to Australia was factored in but i only compared with 4 or 5 shops so it was not an extensive search.

Could i have gotten it cheaper? Most definitely . Did i spend hours looking anyway? yes. Was i drunk when i was looking? Yes i had a few but that was not the night i bought it . Am i still happy anyway?  :icon_lol: Very i put it on last night and i still have a smile on my face from the ride to work, my house mate even commented about it sounding a lot nicer when i took it for a test ride last night.

tires and a new lid is money better spent. pipes just dump gas. :)
