Hello Fellow GS people.
I used to own a GS500 and I loved that thing. It was the best motorcycle ever, and I still see the bike every once in a while.. Anyway, I cleaned out my garage and would like someone to use this stuff, not just keep it in storage. So I ask for anyone who wants it, just to pay shipping, and if you want, a donation. :) But all I really want is someone to use it. So if you can pay for shipping, I can send out. I am best reached on my email, qassim(at)unm(dot)edu. First come first served.
This is a camera mount I made for a bike with a bar on it. Its mount is a standard threading of all cameras. You can use it to film your great bike trips.

This is from a GS500E. Cant remember what its for. I am not even sure if it fits on the F version. I bet if someone went back on the threads and read my posts, I remember buying it in anticipating on doing some work. I think it was purchased on Ebay.

Posting some photos would help; what is the item for the GS500E?
I'm interested in the camera mount depending on the pics... I need to see if I can make it fit on an R6.
Pictures uploaded.. sorry I was on a computer that bans photobucket and I thought it went through..

The camera mount goes over the middle bar.. I am afraid the R6 does not have this bar..
I could be wrong as I do a quick google search. Here is what the camera mount mounts to..

Yeah... that won't work for my bike. Thankz though. :)

Those look like exhaust gaskets.

Those look like exhaust gaskets.
They could be.. actually I think they are since I was thinking of taking it apart. Ok so exhaust gaskets and a camera mount.

No one wants this stuff? Am I just going to throw it away? No one in Albuquerque wants it?
I'll take that camera mount, it just mounts to handlebars?
I'll send a pm.
I want gaskets. PM coming soon!
Cool everything was temporary asked for. Send me through pm your address so I can tell you the shipping cost. The camera mount will be in a small box, and the gaskets will be in an envelope(supertaped).
Thanks!
Ugh, I've been wanting one of those camera mounts for ages! As always a day late or a dollar short!

Ahhh, you make me feel bad about taking it Mary!
shuluke, how hard is it to make one of these mounts?
If you want a camera mount as ugly as that you could rig one up for less than $7 at the hardware store and a few hours on a weekend. I'm sure one of you could make one for yourself so you don't have to feel bad about taking it.
I probably spent around 10 bucks. Its not hard. Heck, I can send to either of you, and you guys can make a copy of it. It worked really well. Sorry its so "ugly", You can always paint it or trim extra stuff, I just wanted it easily put on and off.. so it looks like it does.

I wouldnt think you even paid that much to make it the main body is justa pvc T with the bottom half chopped off, a cap on it with a bolt through it..
As long as my camera doesn't go flying off, it works for me.
But if it does... you'll have a law suit on your hands! :icon_lol:
yeah, I hear ya bucks. I'm not an inventor myself. Sometimes I really think I'm dislexic because when I cut I can measure five times and it is still upside down and backwards!
But, bucks you got first dibs! If my camera fell off I'd be real SAD!

I paid more. Go to lowes and purchase what I got and only use 5% of it..
I shipped everything out today. Thank you guys for not letting me throw this stuff away.
