The dark days have come. Finished college. Finished police academy. Now I can't find a job. lol.
Seeing how I am broke now and my girlfriend is starting to get antsy about getting a place together...I must start making some changes. Having a tough time finding a job at the moment and therefore I have no money to spare to finish my bike.
its an 89' GS500e. with only 7k on the motor. I bought it from a car mechanic in C-Bus who was trying to clear out his garage. Other than being dirty and needing a paint job (someone had primered the tank and plastics) it was in good condition for its age. The bike fired up but he suspected the carbs needed cleaned and didn't recommend riding it. So I got a truck and brought it home. I have done a few things to the bike since. New battery. New turn signals (thought the stock ones looked goofy). New Mirrors (still have the originals). Replaced the missing bar ends with some off eBay. Replaced the stock headlight with once from a GS500 F. Tried to paint it...which started out ok, but the clear coat caused some paint on the tank to crack and peel. so I stopped there cuz i ran into a problem...running out of money and friends who knew anything about bikes. I cleaned out the carbs (replacing a slide diaphragm, float assy, and re-jetting with advice from Buddha). The bike would fire up but I could never figure out how to get her to idle right.
I lost some interest in her once I had to focus on the academy. She may need tires and brake pads. I do have the hard to find lower fairing (chin scoop) for the bike. She would be a great starter bike for someone who has time for her. I need money to get reliable transportation this winter.
I'm not expecting a lot because I know she needs work. Asking $900. I am really motivated to sell! Send me an offer! :thumb:

I do have have front plastic that goes over the front tire. its just not on in the pics. and the same for the small piece of plastic that joins the side plastics and sits over the taillight.
The rear brake needs put back on. I had to put the rear wheel on quickly one day to move her.
the bike will also come with a new 14 tooth front sprocket.
