Title: Thurmont Brunch & Ride
Post by: Porkchop on August 23, 2009, 05:53:37 PM
It was a good day for a ride.  Four members (BaltimoreGS, PachmanP, Critter, and me (Porkchop)) plus a friend of BaltimoreGS showed up at 10:30 at the Mountain Gate Family Restaurant.  After brunch, we rode around the Thurmont area before stopping on top of Catoctin Mountain.

We went for a short hike to see the view.  Here we are at the Blue Ridge Overlook.

After we rode to Gettysburg.  On the way we stopped at Mr. Ed's Elephant Museum.  If you want to see a bunch of elephant figurines this is the place for you.

Us at the battlefield.

I hope BaltimoreGS, PachmanP, and Critter add their comments and pics.

PS - If you can't see the pics it's because my photo server is down at the moment.

It was a good ride.  My only comment is that my butt is soar...

My bike was tired though.  I get home, go inside to unlock the garage, and my bike can't even stand up and just falls over...and broke my clutch lever...

I don't know... you've got a BUTT LOAD of unneccessary HTML code in your post.  I honestly can't make head or tails of it. (mainly 'cause I'm too lazy at the moment)
