Title: Parts for sale: brakes, shocks & more (pics)
Post by: Agno on August 24, 2009, 11:26:03 AM
Howdy all. I received an offer on my '92 GS that I could not refuse. So away it went. Good news is that I filled the hole in my garage and soul with a Triumph Speed four!

I am, however left with some parts that I intended to use on the GS but never got around to.

Used front brake rotor. Has about 1500 miles on it. No grooves. Will come with the bolts. Fits new and old models I believe. $25 +shipping SOLD

A fresh set of Galfer front brake pads. The package has been opened but they were never mounted. $20 +shipping SOLD

MSR Handlebar adapter/riser for 1 1/8in. bars. Bought them with the intent to put Pro Tapers on my GS. Never got around to it so these are still unused.

A first generation SV shock. Has about 3k miles on it. Think this needs a slight modification to fit. Will raise the back end a bit also. $30 +shipping

Black handlebar mount. $15 +shipping

adjustable Katana 750 shock. Bought this from Buddha. Unknown mileage. Should be a direct swap. $45 +shipping
(http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p432/Agno79/katana750shock.jpg)

Old style rectifier. Thought mine needed replacing. Thought wrong. $20 +shipping

nice upgrade!

Do you find the Speed Four more cramped?

I don't find it cramped at all. Very similiar to the riding position with the '89 clip-ons that were on my GS. I never really sorted out the suspension on my old bike. The adjustibility of the speed four front end changed the whole game for me.

thanks, I'm just seeing if the paint has been scraped off inside.

Also, I'm talking to buddha about getting a set of handlebars made + he has a kat shock.

I'd like to do either the top clamp + shock from you OR shock and handlebars from him

Can't do both...

Here is a shot of the separate pieces of the adapter.

And here is a closeup of the exploded side. Couldn't get my camera to get too good of a shot.

Lemme know if you have any more questions.
