What are these called on the later models? (the ones with two capped screws on each carb)
And how should they be set when rejetting a carb? Just tighten them snugly? My bike is stock air, stock exhaust w/ 20/132.5/60 & 2 shims/needle.
Any advise is appreciated - thanks
IF they are the ones under the brass caps that you drill out and pop off
Never tight!.. They are (mixture screws) and mostly are at about 2.5 turns out w/ factory parts.. you have to set them based on your aftermarket exhaust/filte/jet combo
OK, noted. When I took out the caps, these screws were tightened down, so I was a little confused about why all the FAQs talk about "3 turns should be good". I thought maybe they mean the Idle air screws in the float bowls, but that clarifies - thanks.
They were tight when you took the caps off ??? I duno about that.. I would think it would not run at all like that :dunno_white:
Maybee someone else knows something I dont. What year is your GS?

You may have touched them inadvertently with the drill...running them in as a result? :dunno_black:
