Title: Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger
Post by: cboling on August 29, 2009, 07:46:47 AM
Where can I find a stainless steel exhaust hanger that will fit the D&D slip-on exhaust?

Wrap a tape measure around it and I'll try to find a moment to look at how long the strap is (and perhaps take a picture of) on the one (no idea what it was "stock" for) I got in a box-o-parts. IIRC it looks like stainless, so it probably is. Fair warning that I'm in the midst of several other things that are higher priority on my plate (getting power in, keeping my job, moving stuff out of my MIL's basement) so I may not be too quick about it - there are several other things I should dispose of I haven't bothered to list (though they will actually help with the MIL basement, as they are more-or-less there ATM) because I don't really have time to play "prompt responsive seller" right now.

4" (Guess I could find just about any that size and it should work right?)

Are you looking for the strap that goes around the can, or do you want to replace everything between the exhaust and the subframe? I cut the whole deal off of mine, and replace it with an aluminum strip, although I have the vance and hines but it just bolts right onto the back of the can. If you found a strip of stainless steel you could probably just bend it.

I just mounted mine (Admittedly not a D&D) using a bit of aluminium C channel bent and cut to size.

Thanks all. I actually went to one of the local dealers and they had some left over bits for a Yamaha which was basically the rear stand spools and an exhaust hanger which fit nearly perfect. So, I am in good shape.
