just carry your proof of tax paid, shouldn't be a big deal. i rode in tampa for 6-8 months without a tag, crossed 4 states without a tag... the gs doesn't attrack alot of attention usually ;)

previous owners license plate bolt and nut. guess i didnt tighten it enough.....OHGOOD,  yeah ive been kinda looking for that reply.  I just rode to my buddies with out it and figured i could play dumb if i got pulled over.  anyways like you say as long as i got the paper work i wouldnt think it would be anything but maybe a waste of both the officers time and mine as well.  If i get pulled over I'll tell the officer OHGOOD said it was ok. :D

Yeah, don't listen to me because i don't want to be responsible for you getting in trouble, but who's to say when it fell off? If you got pulled over, and a cop says "where's your plate?" walk to the back of your bike, look confused, and say "where'd it go?! I just got this bike and put the plate on 3 days ago, it must've fallen off!" you'll have all your paperwork that says you just registered it the other day
