so which is better? it costs 300 for the 32g touch but for 250 you can get a 120g zune. so who has what and which is best? for me i would like simple games, e-mail, youtube and maybe some movie. does the zune have the programs or apps to compete with the apple? any advise or experience you have with these devises would be helpful. is 8g ok, 16 , 32 or are they too small? again thx

I don't have either device, but if you want to watch movies then you'll want more gigs. I have a friend who has owned both an iPod and a Zune and it seems he prefers the Zune over the iPod, but I believe all he does is listen to music. Hope that helps.

  i thoutht those pages were pretty damn funny. :icon_mrgreen:
ok ok so you aren't in the mood for humor.
If you are concerned with apps and games then the ipod is the best.
I would personally opt for the Zune because it has comprable video/music playback but is much cheaper.
for player only... ipod. for phone + everything = ipod. the zune is microsofts 'also ran'.
now, if you want to be cheeeeap, and get a music player, the zune. i mean, strictly music player, because no-one uses the zune. there aren't apps, there aren't reasons to use it on wifi... etc.
and ..
tiger has one for $80 shipped, right now. (tigerdirect.com)

if you're not being cheap, and really don't mind spending $300, i'd get a iphone from someone off ebay. it's apretty good all-in-one, and you can re-sell it if you hate it.
ipod touch is a completely different league of device. It has been argued that the graphics are as good as a PSP (there are some amazing games on the ipod touch), there is literally an app for anything and it is just as good at music as any other ipod, plus that huge screen for video. Also it doesn't use a hard drive so you don't have to worry about skipping and it will last longer than the 120gb zune.
Compare the zune to the ipod classic (both good for music, your choice) but the touch is soooo much better than both of them. The web browsing is seriously awesome. You will hardly need a computer anymore (at least for non-productive things).
No I don't own one (yay for 1st gen ipod nano) but my parents and friends all seem to have touches or iphones so I get to use them a lot.

We'll remember that when you do the same frankie. that aside. if you wanna watch movies. more space is key. AND lemme ask this can you change the battery in the ipod, or do you have to send it in. ( cause eventually it will die ) older ones were bad for this. also how well do you like itunes. ? me i cant stand em much, ill use em if imust, but if other choices itunes wont be used
i have a 8GB touch , its the loudest ipod ive owned, its awesome
i am going to get the iphone 3g in either 32 or 64 gig. i figure why carry around a phone and touch. also apple n iphone have WAY more stuff than the zune so it won me over. sure the zune is a bit cheaper but after a week of "gosh i wish i had this or that'" it would not take long to wish u had gotten the touch.
thx guys for your help. as usual it is greatly appreciated.
there really isn't a valid comparisson for the majority of the "i can do everthing all in one device" type of phones. Each major carrier has one. and from what i've seen. they all have individual apps that only apply to each one. it's like comparing cars to motorcycles IMO.
true enough...it is up to personal preference. i am going to pay 69.99 a month for my phone plan with data and all that crap. at first i thought this was too much money then i realized i spend more than that on burger meals a month. i get 2 or 3 macd's wendy's etc a week at about 8 bucks per so that is how i justified it.
hope it works out for you. me personally, i like my cell carrier(verizon) so if/when i ever decide to actually purchase one of said, "i-can-do-everything-all-in-one-device" phones i'd probably go with whichever one my carrier advertised. (due to the fact that right now, i've heard alot of the carriers are only allowing said phones to be purchased for use on their plans)
i believe you are correct
let us know how you like it though. :thumb:
i just have to decide which one i want, 16, 32 or 64 g 199, 299 or 399 i believe give or take a few bucks.
i guess the 16 gig will hold 10 movies plus what have you. i can't imaging having that many movies. 2 or 3 would suit me to have in a pinch. besides i would be lucky to get through 3 movies on the battery. i do have the mini extra battery that also charges with the iphone but that still would only give me 7 or so hours of movies. but then again for 108 more i get double the memory. boy i am being wishy washy on this one :) actually if it were not for the 500 deposit i would get the 32g in a drop
