Title: Trailer electric trouble (lights don't work)
Post by: tussey on September 07, 2009, 11:30:58 AM
I recently rewired my trailer because some of the wire had become damaged. Before it worked intermittently and now nothing works.

I was wondering if someone with more knowledge of how trailer systems work could chime in and offer some clear steps for troubleshooting.

What SHOULD I be reading with my multimeter? Seems like some of the values are inconsistent. I know 13V is getting to the adapter but after that it gets fuzzy. I can't really tell where the power drops. Any suggestions?

See, here I was getting ready to be a smart ass and ask if you had the trailer plugged in!
