What we have here is a 1989 gs500 race bike. It has front springs set up for a 200lb rider (not sure what brand). Gsxr600 stock rear shock. 1993 Gsxr750 rear sets, both sides. Has a gp (race) shift pattern with these rear sets. Will include the stock pegs and shift lever if you want to swap back to street shift pattern. Stage I head work with gr650 stock cams. Has two spare rear rims (one needs bearings and spacers), a spare clutch basket (complete with all plates), stock spare head, spare stock cylinders, spare oil pan lid (not sure what else to call this, bottom piece of motor where oil drain bolt is located). Also has a katana 600 front end complete with brakes and rim, and a rear katana rim not installed. Has a new clutch with one race weekend on it. Has vortex clip-ons. I have one more race weekend at Beaverun the first weekend of October, bike can be picked up from the track if you so desire! Will work on getting a picture posted here, but for those of you who are willing to do some work, go to www.ridefasttrax.com (my local race series and click on photos by marty tab on the bottom right hand side. Click on photo gallery. I am bike number 9 (novice) and can be found on all fastrax sunday sprint race tabs. Bike is fully safety wired and ready to go. Does not include the lap timer or transponder. Do not wish to separate parts, want to sell as one whole package deal! Asking $2100 fairly firm with the spares package. This bike is fast and reliable, and we all know how much fun these bikes are. Located in Akron, OH.

Fastedmiami: I was wondering what happend to you.
OK GR cams fit in a stock GS ?
And they help ? what does it do. GR is all bottom end, so I'd guess it has a huge lift compared to a GS, but GS has duration ...
Cool.
Buddha.
Buddha- yes they do. I did not do the work, our local fast guy who builds gs's up here did the work. I never got around to doing the kat front end swap as I am leading the championship in two of my classes and did not want to do anything to change my bike. Plus, I also have a 93gsxr750 that I race and have a spare front end for it that I would rather put on my gs. We never used to be allowed to put the upside down forks on but this year it has been approved so that would be my next step if this bike doesn't sell. Not sure how much difference the cams make but he says they are a step up from stock and don't cost what race cams do...
Thanks for doing the leg work for me! Man, no nibbles here? I am willing to listen to any and all "reasonable" offers. Tired of getting hammered by sv's on the straights, want to buy an sv for next race season...

This is a lousy year to sell anything.
Lousy economy and relentless rain in the SE has killed the market in much of the SE. I dunno, someone I was talking to in Madison wisconsin, said its been a lousy couple summers up there.
No clue, but this $2 gas is really hurting. I need to have $5 gas to move these stupid ... I mean really cool bikes ... yea ...
Cool.
Buddha.

Ok, I won a championship today on this bike. I beat out a highly modified fzr400 for the championship, . I finished 2nd to fzr600 in another class, 3rd to the same fzr600 and a highly built ex500 (I raced the ex this year when I crashed my gs and couldn't get it back together in time for the next race. the ex ran down sv's on the straights!) This bike has won championships the last two race seasons in a row...

I have the lift numbers somewhere at home when I was compairing them all. The GR cams have a little higher lift but less duration than the GS. Not as much lift as Megacycle cams and less duration. The sprocket has to be changed and timing set, other than that they drop right in.
It would lower the redline some right ? Valve float is related to lift.
Cool.
Buddha.
valve float? these things have valves? It didn't really change my redline. I usually shifted before red line to save abuse during races. I ran it to red line sometimes for the over rev if I messed a corner up and could not shift but never had any negative reaction. I usually shift at 10,000 indicated. This bike has been bullet proof, I change the oil every race and that is all I ever have to do for maintenance. Somebody has to want a fun track bike?
bump, still for sale. will throw in a front and rear pit bull stand, a 2004 gsxr 600 set of forks with both triples and clip ons (no wheel or brakes) and a set of tyre sox tire warmers...
Might want to post some pics. No one even considers buying something without seeing it first.
Hope this works for more pics...
