Title: Does anybody know if the SV650 shock is serviceable?

nope, but it sure looks cool! and MUCH easier to adjust, and the spanner for the gs shock fits the sv650. and you must cut about an inch off the clevis and drill new holes, very easy.

does it raise ride height? is it bolt-on?

yes it raises it about an inch or two, not for sure. other than cutting the clevis and drilling new holes, it's a direct bolt on.
