Title: FS The greatest Katana front end ever.
Post by: ineedanap on September 17, 2009, 06:24:29 PM
95 Katana 600 front forks.  Nicest ones I have ever seen.  I went thru 3 sets before I settled on these.  Perfect chrome.  Perfectly straight.  Paint even looks nice.  Rebuilt them (the oil even came out clean!) with racetech oil seals, racetech dust seals, racetech bushings, racetech .85 springs, racetech emulators and racetech oil.  It cost me $600.  I saw a similar (not as nice) set go on ebay for $300 last month so the price is $300

95 Katana 600 Triple modded to fit GS500.  Complete bolt on for GS500.  Has GS stem pressed into Katana triple, then professionally welded.  Steering stops were built up slightly to match GS turning radius.  It's even tapped correctly to use Kat top bolt.    Has brand new All Balls brand bearings and seals.  Considering buddha charges $50 plus core...and cores usually cost $20...And I have to undercut the competition even though mine is nicer...The price is $69

Vortex new style 41mm clip-ons.  Paid $140 last month.  Bars are used but you wouldn't know by looking at them.  Clamps are new just fitted up.  $85

Fly-n-cycle 41mm dual headlight mount.  Paid $75 last month.  Brackets have some scratches from fitting headlight, hole drilled for turn signals as well.  SOLD

99 SV650/Katana rotors and bolts.  New style.  Same size as old style but with updated design.  Interchangable with 89-97 Katana.  Paid $65.  Sell for $50

95 Katana 600 calipers.  Fresh rebuild with all new suzuki seals.  New never used EBC HH sintered pads installed.  Set up for aftermarket braided steel lines (not included).  If you use stock lines (you must be crazy) there is a little fitting you will need.  With aftermarket braided steel lines that piece is not used.  $70

99 Katana 600 front axle (not shown)  Includes correct spacer if you don't want your speedo drive.  Interchangable with earlier style katana axles.  $10

2005 Hayabusa master cylinder with GS mirror mount.  Exact same bore as 89-96 Katana master but much nicer.  Better lever, reservoir, and almost new.  Paid $60.  Sell for $50

Buddha fork brace.  Fits GS or Katana.  Paid $40.  Bolts still work but allen heads starting to get rounded so you should replace them.  $20.

Panda Cat.  Greatest pet ever.  17 years old (74 in cat years)  Weighs 19lbs.  Typically found near food bowl, or sleeping in kitty condo.   Can destroy a litter pan in one visit.  NOT FOR SALE EVER

Prices don't include shipping.  I will give a full refund if you are unsatisfied.  I'm parting out a whole bike so if you need something I probably have it.

Ineedanap dude ... what about your kat stem I got sitting here ?
If someone wants it I can mail to them after they pay you etc etc ...
Yea now done go asking for pics. The threads 1/2 way down are a bit iffy, but the threads in the lower 1/2 where the lock nut sits are great..
I have 1/2 a mind to kill the damn 25mm and thread them to 24 and do like 3mm pitch instead of 1mm. Lot more forgiving IMHO. Where the bearing sits on the original bike it gets a bit of wear and the threads get messed up a bit.
Cool.

If GS500Kid doesn't pick this stuff up, I GLADLY WILL.  :icon_mrgreen:

Is it possible to mount regular bars on the top triple, or does it have to be clip-ons? I'm looking to run 1 piece bars.

I don't know.  There are holes but it looks like it might be tough to get one piece bars on there.  The Kat forks are longer than GS forks, so they stick up past the top triple by about an inch.  It might interfere.  It makes it really easy to put clipons above the triple, though.

EDIT...forgot I have an extra top plate too.

Ok. Well let me think about it a little. I don't really know if I want to go with clip-ons or not, and I don't really have the tools/experience to do all the modding myself to make 1 piece bars work.

If GSKID wants them, by all means, don't wait up for me, haha.  :D

We got her "used" from the humaine society.  I'm not sure what her previous owner was feeding her but when we got her 5 years ago she was 23 pounds.  Great cat, though.

i asked you to email me if you looked at my post,

I did email you.

Whatever didn't sell is going on Ebay on wednesday the 23rd.  I hate ebay fees so if someone is interested in any of this before then, we might be able to work out a good deal.
