Just being curious but i have an 07 Silverado and the weld on the passenger top door hinge has snapped. Anyone else ever heard of bad welds on these trucks that i should look for more of. I had a popping in that door and just wrote it off as needing lube and when i went to slick it up i noticed that the weld was gone all the way through and that is what was pooping when the hinge hit the stop. Getting it fixed of course but just curious if anyone else has had issues like this, i can honestly say its my first with chevy and welds, except for that 64 pickup but that was just age+rust not a robot having a bad day :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
Hey, I snapped my drivers side top door hinge too. Except it was on a 98 S-10 with 2,000 miles. I'm pretty sure it was my fault, though. Lets just say...
first new truck + bunch of guys + mud bog + full throttle in reverse + poor decision making skills = driving home with door in the bed of the truck.
Warranteeeeeeeeeeee
Wonder what that costs chevy

I just wonder how long its going to take the body shop to fix the mess, i might take a pic if i think about it. And i guess i'll give jughead a +1 too, but i like my Chevy its
Mexican American. Really though i do love that truck and I also have a friend that got over excited in a creek bed and ripped his door off in reverse on a tree trying to get up an almost vertical 2' step :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
