when the bike first came out, dealerships were saying that kawi only made "a few of them available" so that jacked the price up a bit. i heard of some people paying as much as $6k OTD for theirs. If i remember correctly, back in november i was approved for one(almost bought it but that was the same week my previous employer sent out notices of possible lay-offs) and i think i was told in the neighborhood of $4500 OTD. (that was with tax, title, liscence) I can't imagine paying $6k for a $4k bike. :cookoo:
Wait till he finds out no one will give him $3500, no matter how entertaining his ad is, even with two helmets and a jacket! He also picked the worst time of year to sell. The best time is spring when people are eager to ride and have their tax returns in their pockets. Now and in winter is when the bargain hunters are out. They won't offer him bupkus!
How much were those ninja's back in 2001? I bought one new, for I swear somewhere around $32-3500, and when it was totaled the insurance company paid me $4000. It was quite a deal.
That is a pretty ridiculous ad. I mean does anyone check what NADA or KBB values a bike at anymore before they post their ad, nope. See marketing is key, you sell a gs500 ... 3k for an 06; You sell a GSXR 500 now you can ask 5k :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
