Hello everyone,
After about two years and 11,000 miles I have finally low sided my bike through a turn in a circle.
I got some scratches on the fairing, handlebar end, mirror, turn signal, and peg. But the weirdest thing is that the lens in the dash of the speedometer assembly popped out. Its the blue one for the high beam indicator. I couldn't find it where I low sided.
Everything else can be touched up with paint and by replacing the stickers, but I can't find that replacement lens for the speedo bracket anywhere.
Any help is appreciated.
P.S. Don't worry, everything is fine. I had two classes afterwards and work that I still attended; some minor scratches on my knees through my jeans. My bike started up and works well too. The fairing actually protected my legs.
The same thing happened to me.
Apparently the whole trim needs to be replaced in order to restore ti.
I just stuck a piece of lens tape over it to keep the water out.
Someday I'll find a replacement gauge trim and replace it...
