Title: Yet another "looking for gauge buckets" thread
Post by: nakedGS on September 20, 2009, 07:27:07 PM
Hey all-
So I've got a 1992 GS500, and its got a hole in the right side gauge bucket where it looks like prev. owner dropped it. I've been lurking around the FS/FT board looking for some, but no luck. Is anyone hiding any, or at least know where I could find some?
Thx- if this doesn't work, I guess I'll have to spend the $200+ on a Veypor and the Indicator set-up that they sell with it.

:nono: <--- my gf, haha!

Thanks!

I also checked bikebandit - they want $50 for it. guh. Cheaper than the Veypor at least.   :icon_rolleyes:

There is a brand new veypor for sale here for $85  http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=50066.0

You may be able to get it for slightly less if you save him the hassle of listing it on Ebay.

This is the veypor, not to be confused with the trail tech Vapor.

..or break out the fiberglass & rattlecan for all of $5-10...

it's not like it's a particularly structural part. Some glass, perhaps some bondo if you're fussy, a little paint and good to go.

Yea that is a really good price for a new Veypor. I'm gonna see how I do with some bondo though, haha might even be fun. Thanks DoD for the tip, can't believe it never even crossed my mind!
