Title: MY SEAT IS PISSING ME OFF

CAN ANYONE HELP ME GET IT OFF?!?!  when i put the key in the lock is rotates 360 degrees counterclockwise....when i try to open it by turning clockwise, it turns a little but no click from the lock...i tried pushing on the seat and such while trying to open it but it doesnt help....is there anyway to get the seat off without using the lock?  i tried to get the under-fender off but there are a couple of bolts i cant reach with a socket (right behind license plate) PLEASE HELP ME PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

pull the cord that is attached to the back side of the lock with some needlenose pliers or vise grips.

i tried that....am i supposed to pull the cable inside the black tube (if there is one?) or the black tube itself?  about how far is it supposed to go before it opens? thanks

you have to pull the cable inside, if it haven't snapped it will open the lock.

have you wiggled the key and seat at the same time?

That you can rotate the key about sounds like the lock mech may be stripped out. You might have to use a pair of vice grips and sqeeze the release cable and pull on it. This will crush the cable "jacket" and probably ruin it, but at least you will get the seat off.

The rear fender can be cut a little right under that locking plate and you can move the locking tounge to the left. There was a guy that was missing the rear fender... and I showed him how I can steal his whole body work and tank is 30 seconds.... and I had it mostly apart in under 30 secs till he asked me to stop.
