Trust is filled out notarized and ATF form 1 is now waiting on a $200 check so I can make this into a 10.5" barrel, then add a supressor for another $200 tax stamp.... :woohoo:

NICE BP.  How long is it taking the Bureau of Anti-constitutional Tards, Fatasses and Exiled fbi agents to process form 4's these days?
A guy at my range has an M60 he bought back in the day (said he bought it in '81)for some ridiculous amount like 6k, bastard doesn't believe me that he's sitting on a pile of freaking cash right there.

What's the rifling on that barrel?  10.5 inches is going to need some seriously aggressive rifling to stabilize most ammunition.

I just got a new holster for my 1911 last week, seriously good quality and next to dirt cheap.

1:9 on the 16" Barrel, 4 to 6 months for ATF to clear a form 1(manufacture) or form 4(dealer transfer)

When I SBR it I am going with 10.5" Sabre defense barrel, 1:7 twist rate, may have to go 11.5" depends on AAC's warranty I need to check and see if they will warrant the M4-2000 against baffle strikes on the 10.5"

What holster is that Terry? Rafters is about to tick me off.

1:7 should be OK, but you still might have trouble with tracers and other oddball ammunition.
The holster is from Lobogunleather.com  He went up since I placed my order, but prices are still very cheap for what you get, turnaround is pretty good for built to order and it's been a great holster.  I paid 49.95 and I think for the same holster he went to 55 now and that's with shipping included. Check out his website he can do pretty much anything you want.  I'm about to place another order for a mag carrier, a belt and an ankle holster for my dad to carry his J frame.

Got my KNS anti walk trigger and hammer pins yesterday and installed them last night. Gotta get to the range this weekend. Picked up 300 rounds of M855 green tip penetrator ammo at the gun store yesterday. :D

Gonna have to find a plinking spot where I can throw out some steel plates and drill holes through it :2guns:

Some a$$hole has been drilling holes in our rattlers and pepper poppers, using a dam AR on the pistol range. When we catch him, he's out of the club and paying to replace the damaged product.

See I know better, I know I can't use green tip on the steel sillouhette range and I can't use them at the indoor range either. But if you have access to some scrap steel and a place to plink green tip is just fun to shoot.

I won't even use the commercial FMJ on the sillouhette range. Thats what handload soft points are for, I don't shoot anything closer than the 100 yard line either.

A guy at my range just got a Thompson :icon_twisted: That thing was sick.  I put a spam can (600rds) through my 1911 today.  It's definitely time to get a beavertail grip safety though, after about 250rds the web between my pointer and thumb was bleeding pretty well.  Long day, tired, going to sleep..................

Oh, and to the OP, i'm jealous.  I want a taurus 1911 really bad in duo tone but Kommifornia won't let me have one because apparently its not safe.  Not like every other 1911 out there >:(  It gets so old living here being a gun owner sometimes.

I know a guy who had to go with a stainless Les Baer because the parkerized wasn't approved, or maybe it was vice versa......don't remember, but it was the exact same gun, just different color :cookoo: :cookoo:

Yep that is correct if you live in Kommiefornia. All handguns must meet Cali safety testing standards, even if the PT1911 blued finish is tested that does not qualify the other finish options. Since the heller decision in the supreme court DC has gone to an approved safety tested list similiar to Kommiefornia, theres a lawsuit against DC in federal appeals court a lady was charged with possesion of an illegal firearm because her duo tone kimber compact had not been tested even though the parkerized and blued versions were tested.

The supreme court is going to hear another second ammendment case this session which could finally incorporate the second at the state, county and city level.
http://www.scotusblog.com/wp/court-to-rule-on-gun-rights-terrorism-law/print/

The nice thing about Oklahoma is our states preemption of gun laws, no municipality may create laws restricting gun rights that power is held solely by the state and is deemed necessary since our state is a shall issue CCW permit state. Thus Oklahoma city cannot pass a law making it illegal to possess a firearm within it's incorporated boundries even while it is legal elsewhere.

Keep the faith Bombadillo one day we might be able to whip your state back into line.
