I am thinking of getting heated grips...
But more importantly, I want to install more COMFORTABLE grips cause the grips I have now don't do much for vibration. I was thinking to get some Gel Grips like these: http://www.progrip.com/default.asp?tip=3&ite=gri

You should try the Kimpex grip heaters (designed for motorcycles, not ATVs which often don't have the same kind of twist throttles as our bikes do). They are about 24 bucks from AZ Motorsports.

I like BMW grips. They are shaped to fit the contour of your hands and they are a little thicker to absorb some shock. I don't know if they would fit on a GS or not. I want to try and get some for my Katana since it needs new grips.

I've had these (http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Rider/heated_grip_kit1.htm) on my bike for about a year and they rock. $30 + $8 for 780 Pro Gel grips and I rode last year into the low 30's. They are 36 watts on the Hi setting and keep your hands very toasty on highway rides. They are not as great on the city-stop-start commutes because you have your fingers on the levers enough that the heat doesn't build very much.
I have mid weight gloves that I use year round because of these puppies.
