Title: New Bike :D
Post by: Jay_wolf on October 02, 2009, 12:14:01 PM
Well it started when my brother picked up a 125cc two smoke honda mtx , 20 bhp pretty quick , its pretty nice , but 20 years old, his friend as soon as he saw it decided he wanted a two smoke and made me a stupidly good offer on his bike

its a 2008 Megelli 125 m , 900 miles on the clock when i got it , he paid 2,200 pounds for it , he sold it for 1000!

This is the nicest looking 125cc i have ever seen in my opinion , why would anyone ride a scooter , when they can ride one of these that can top out at 70

there is a 180cc kit , that boasts to 15 bhp , and they plan to make a 250cc

Nah, I wish we could get some more sub 400cc bikes around the states.  I would love to see a single thumper 300 or 400 thats a small platform like that to tear the streets up or even some twins or triples out there.  More than the current market is making anyway.   I think the 70's had it right with the crazy little 3 cyl two smokers and new designs and not the conventional single or inline 4.  They all went that way and its either a v-twin, inline 4, single lung, or the occasional parallel twin from kawasaki for the most part.  The small bikes are becoming fewer and fewer and they're encouraging guys to buy big bikes.

Yeah, exactly.  A lot of the good stuff is never imported here.

America is fascinated with big, unfortunately.

alot of it comes from the price of gas here, back to 1.04 pounds a litre , my girlfriends dad has a x5 , its well over 100 pounds just for a tank of fuel

Artistic perspective!  Camera must have been up-close... they're not actually THAT big.
