With all the "Green Initiative" issues being presented everywhere, it's no wonder that they published a Motor Cyclist magazine for October covering all of the electric bikes that were produced for the Isle of Man TTXGP Zero Emissions race. At first I thought, "how ridiculous" but it is very interesting to see how some of the bikes were put together. The main problem I see is charge time versus mileage which I think has always been the given with electric vehicles.
Last night, I went to bed with my mind racing about how difficult it would be to build a GS500 Electric race bike? I wonder if there would be any advantages to using that bike platform over another?
I can see at least 1 disadvantage. our heavy steel frame, but I would love to see someone try it
Search it on here. There are 2 Electric GS's that I have seen on here. I am pretty sure there was one current member still working on one.
