Okay soooo this tach is a year and a half old. I took it off today to replace the gasket and now the screws will not go in. I feel like bashing my head into my tank right about now and make Flick an orphan. What can I do to get the screws to stay in and make contact?
I mean seriously I know how to screw something! And this is well making me feel inept!
BTW '04 electronic tach!

Which gasket did you replace? The ones between the speedo/tach and the gauge bezel (the metal braket with the 4 warning lights)?
Which screws won't go in to where? The two long screws sticking out of the back of the tach that are secured to the gauge bucket with 2 acorn nuts?
Yup, the rubber gasket that seperates the bezel from the gauge. This is an electronic tach so the orange wire, black wire, and black/brown wire will not screw into the back. The anchors with the acorn nuts screw in just fine.
Surgery went really well throat still sore and a little horse. Now another surgery on Thursday sheeze I could use a break or just instal a dang zipper!
