Title: New Rider, Queens NYC
Post by: Norcon on October 15, 2009, 07:03:07 AM
Hello!

This forum is great, I've been lurking since I purchased a GS in need of maintenance. Thanks to Buddha and a few others I've been able to get this bike on the road.

1994 Red GS500E

Just figured it was about time i introduced myself.

The GS is my first bike. I took the MSF course a year ago, got some gear and started riding this spring, havent put as many miles on it as I had hoped.

Nice to meet you all! Fun forum, I've enjoyed reading about the picture game

Hi erchen

New to the forum myself and yes - it's a great resource.

Earnt my stripes on a cb250 before i stepped up to the gs and am loving it.

Take it easy.

Hey Erchen!

Congrats on the new bike. I hope you're still riding. I'm trying to do my first winter riding season (car died and I have no choice), but my brother lives in Astoria and I ride into NYC from New Haven pretty often. Let me know if you're still on the bike and as soon as I get this brake lever assembly in, I'll probably be heading down there for a weekend.

hey whats up

Yeah still riding, just went out for a ride yesterday, pretty fun stuff. Yeah, got all my gear, mostly Icon stuff stuff with a shoei helmet and Sidi boots.

I actually work in Stamford, not a bad ride.

It's getting a bit cold out here though, hoping to get out of work and get a few miles in before the real cold weather hits.
