Title: Quick carb question
Post by: Syzygy on October 17, 2009, 04:15:00 AM
Hello hello,

3 turns on carb mixture screws is general standard, how about the idle screw?  I've gotten confused and have it set to three now but can not remember if there is a standard starting point.  Thanks!

start the bike.  let it fully warm up.  then set idle screw to 1200 +/- 50 there is no number of turns to set the idle

so just make sure it's open at least a little and go from there?

yes make it so the bike will run then after it warms up turn it up or down from there after the bike is warm.

Warm being a 15 min ride not letting it idle for a few min...

But yeah Joshr08 is right. Just get it to a point where it starts then warm it up and start twisting till it's set.
