Thanks to Pavisays for the pic.

But that cowl has been on my mind. I however need extra material other than that cowl, in any case that is an excellent starting point.
Can any one tell me where I can get such a cowl.

Cool.

looks like a 70s xs650. Nice job.....They still have a following, suggest you ask the question in a xs/cafe-racer forum.

I'd spend the money on one of those pans..... Very nice starting point. Or get good at some fiberglass fabbing...

I do like that bike....CLEAN....

Your savage seats should be there Tuesday by the way...

The air tech crap is easily available from several people on the xs sites for 1/2 that or even less.
There is a good reason why ...
Those are garbage.

That bike in the pic is runnign a thruxton cowl 04-07 truimph thruxton and I am not opposed to using that.

His seat has the original clip mechanism etc in place. That is my favorite part. It has to look factory ... not cobbled together.

Anyway I am planning on modding a XS seat pan with a GS tank hacked in 1/2.
Then Jared do upholstery ... mu haha haha haha haha ... I am a big fan of having all the factory stuff working.

Cafe cowl - yes, but it will be fitted on the seat pan, you remove that seat the regular way and it comes off like it should. The only mod I may do, is to get the lock hanger either re fabbed or entirely removed and a latch hidden away so it will open the regular way.

Cant wait for the savage seats ...

Yea I've seen your tail section before. But I thought it was a modded airtech ? No ?
Yes goodies for glass is fine, but I am thinking that GS tank needs to meet the plasma cutter at this point.

Not airtech, totaly handmade by me. draw up a rough sketch and ill think on it . Also bought a mig welder so maybe metal work too. Not sure how thin the tank sheet metal is but should be able to stitch it with a bottle hooked up. pics

Wow. Nice work, lopee.

I've seen a seat cowl fashioned from a cut-up fuel tank. Done properly, you can find a tank section that echoes in the seat cowl the same lines of the fuel tank, making for a little built-in 'visual harmony.'

Lopee made that tail.
I have seen some guy slice up a tank for his tail cowl.

I am right now on the fence between the 2. The GS tank front half will make a super nice duc monster look alike cowl. It depends on what lopee says though.

Cool.

Lopee dude -

I think this look is easier to acheive ...

Scroll down to the WFO bike.

I just need to cut and hammer and upholstery by Jared.

Prolly easier.

I may just be wasting your time for the cafe cowl. I am slowly backing away from that at this point.

Thanks anyway, but please come over in you need to kill a morning we can have a beer and look at all the crap lying about.

Cool.

Airtech calls it a GS500E Titan.

Hmm. I thought Titan was the old 2 stroke too twin.
