My dad did the same thing on his old Yamaha 750 on a trip through Canada during college, except the deer was a newfoundland dog.  He took a pretty bad spill, and the dog didn't make it.   :icon_sad:  The bike got pretty messed up as well.  Scary stuff.

In the first video, the rider clips the rear of the deer (as it looks like a hind leg is separated from the rest of the body).  In the second video, the rider hits the deer while going through the turn and right into the torso of the deer.  I believe the first video is very much plausible, but the instances are completely different.  Also, in the first video, his tach and speedo immediately stop working after the accident with the deer.

in the first video his tacho stops because the thing hat went flying off his bike was his front fender.. and it probably has a guide wire holding the speedo cable in.

second one was just pure unlucky timing.

i had had a few close calls with kangaroos. they either jump out at waist height or just stop dead in their tracks and are stunned by your headlights at night.

I was just making an estimated guess as to what happened, but was proving that it was possible to hit a deer without completely trashing the bike.
