A little back story. I just replaced my sprockets(stock rear;15t front) and chain after my poor maintenance let the chain get to loose and cause the chain to come off the front sprocket with an audible bang but I don't see any damage. This is the first time I have taken the bike out since. I pull in the clutch and the bike starts up no problem. I shift into 1st and it doesn't move. I try 2nd and it doesn't move. Everything sounds normal i.e. start up, shifting, kill switch, so nothing comes to mind. I have the clutch at lease working because the bike starts but I will check the adjustment. Any ideas? or where to start? Thanks.
Did you check if the output shaft was working while you had the sprocket cover off? I know I wouldn't have done that myself but that would be where I start.

Does the feel of the clutch at the lever seem normal?
Either something is wrong with the way you assembled the front sprocket cover, and there is a load of pressure on the clutch pushrod (unlikely) or the chain jammed the sprocket when it came off, and the shock load broke something in the primary drive/clutch/gearbox.
To diagnose, take off the sprocket cover, put the bike in gear and see if you can push it without the motor turning. If you can, something internal is busted. If that's the case, I'd suggest pullling the clutch cover and having a look in there. You might be lucky and find its a clutch problem and you won't have to split the cases.

Ok. I removed the sprocket cover and put it in 1st and it would not move....so that's a good thing right? If I'm reading what you posted correctly then I should recheck my install of the cover/clutch. Could the load of pressure come from an incorrectly adjusted clutch? I am currently out side re-adjusting it to be sure.
With the side cover off and the chain and sprocket removed, start the bike in gear and see if the ouput shaft is turning. You will have to have the side stand up to start it since it is in gear.

I readjusted my clutch and that got it going. Why would it start but not move with the clutch like that? Still, it feels a little slugish but that may be the new smaller front sprocket, I only went up my drive way to test it.
Is BaltimoreGS and The Moles method checking for the same problem just in two different ways? I'm assuming I don't still need to check the drive shaft right or should I check it for any other type of problem?
Good call mole! I was checking that the transmission was damaged, mole was checking the clutch engagement. If the clutch does not fully engage the clutch will slip or in an extreme case like yours, the bike will not move. It would be like always holding the clutch lever in. Glad you got it sorted out!

Glad it was an easy fix! No need to check for anything as long as it goes OK.
It shouldn't feel sluggish, with the smaller sprocket it should feel like it accelerates a bit quicker. Check the chain is not too tight, there is plenty of advice on here on chain adjustment. Obviously way loose is not good, but a little loose is better than a little tight. Too tight can damage stuff.
the bike will probably feel a little sluggish until it is fully warmed up. was it warmed up? or just started to move it?
