Whats wrong with it? There are people who spend most of their day in a vehicle and when stopped will work from their car. It's becoming a wireless world. 2 years ago I was on my way to New Orleans for our anniversary, just outside of shreveport I got an email on my phone that an important start up job on our mainframe had failed. At 5:30 in the morning from the front seat of my truck I VPN'd into my work network from my laptop. A desk to set my laptop on would have been pretty cool.

It seems like a useful idea when properly applied (read: used when stopped), but too many geniuses out there will get the idea to use it while in motion. I hope whoever is manufacturing/selling them has a really good business insurance policy. When someone innocent gets killed or maimed by an idiot misusing it, they will probably be getting a call from a personal injury attorney.
Yeah, as soon as there is a front end collision and the air bag goes off shoving it right into your lower rib cage. I'm sure you will think it is a great idea.
I mean if you are stopped in a rest area or have a job like I do where sometimes I just sit in a parking lot all night watching the cars it would be usefull. But, I got a desk that just popped into your cup holder and would swivel to where you needed it. Was $5 at Wal-Mart.
But, yeah it is a lawsuit waiting to happen! The comments were fantastic!

I used to work in California. At lunch, I would often get fast food and eat under a large shade tree in the parking lot or at a nearby state park.
This would have come in handy.

It's really not fair to take away one's ability to Google things Mary. According to my pc troubleshooting professor, "For today's A+ Techs, Google is your friend." :D I've allready come accross one issue with my PC that I was able to solve with Google. As far as James Watson is concerned, the name sounds familiar, maybe it's just one of those names. :dunno_white:
