Title: Cracked Fork Case
Post by: REAP on November 28, 2009, 07:07:58 PM
Well i was in a pretty bad crash and my little 07 GS didnt survive, but she's getting rebuilt. One of the problems is that the left front fork casing is cracked.

How could i go about either fixing the crack, or around how much $ would i be looking at to replace?

if you went with dealer parts, it would be expensive. using used parts, it could be done for less than $100, assuming you can do the work yourself.  which side is damaged? caliper side or other side?

It's not the calipwe side, im going to the dealer tomorrow to ask for a price then heading to the wreckers to find a 2nd hand set.

craigslist too, there are parts bikes with similar or betterer suspensions on CL frequently. good luck, the dealer will rip you off !
