i am assuming you dont have a key for it? or is the lock broken? if your just missing a key, a lock smith can make you one. some will even come to you on weekends, my brother had that done on his bike it only took the guy 25min or so.

Does the gas cap lock match the ignition?  If so, there should be a number on you ignition that suzuki service shops can use to cut a new key.  Not sure what suzuki dealerships charge, but honda only charges $25, WAYYYYYYY cheaper than any locksmith.

there may be numbers on the ignition on the older models.. i don't know.. i DO know that when i took my brand spanking new 06 off the showroom floor the dealer handed me 2 keys and a rubber tag with a number stamped on it.  he then proceeded to tell me that if i ever lost my keys to make sure i had the little tag.. it was the only way i'd ever get new keys without replacing the entire ignition/gas cap/seat lock set. there are no identifying numbers on the new model ignitions to determine key cut.. at least that's what i was told. dealer could have been an idiot. who knows?
