Post by: MajorMalphunction on December 05, 2009, 10:37:55 PM
Does anyone know where you could purchase just the lock itself?

Are you looking for just the lock cylinder or the entire lock unit?  Below is the microfiche for an E model, the lock assembly is #16.  Is it that whole part you need?

To be more specific, just the key lock inside that, but if I have to replace that whole thing then I'd do it.

Is your bike an E model (89-00)?  This lock is off a 1990 model, the part circled in red is what I think you are looking for.  I don't have a key to this lock cylinder.  You can either stick your bikes key in and shave the tumblers that stick up off with a whiz wheel or remove the tumblers completely and just give the illusion of having a keyed lock.
