i'm lookin for the right-hand rear wheel spacer. anyone have one, before I order one from the shop? thanks!
I did some checking, and ALL of the US market GS500 models from 1989 - 2009 use the same right rear wheel spacer. Check out number 5 in the drawing:

Number 5 is listed as a "SPACER, REAR AXLE RH"; part number is 64740-19C00 for ALL years... in case you want to call the dealership to check their stock. I doubt you'd find anyone here who has one lying around, but stranger things have happened. The Buddha, dgyver, or werase643 just might have one they'd be willing to part with, and all three guys are relatively close to Virginia...
I found it on the 'net for less than $12, not including tax or shipping; if your local dealer has one in stock, you'd probably be ahead of the game buying it there. If not, you can avoid the thieves at BikeBandit (and elsewhere), and find it here:
