Title: another carbs quick question
Post by: gregvhen on December 30, 2009, 03:52:53 PM
ill start the bike, itll rev up and die right away.  It sits for about 10 minuetes and will do the same thing. Okay, i know the problem, fuel is not getting into the bowls quick enough.  I dont think its a problem with the lines or petcock or inline filter (the inline fuel filter is a GM screw in type that ment for a car or truck so its plenty free flowing enough.  So that leads me to the float height. do i raise the floats or lower them?  (as in does it go in the  15.6 direction or the 13.6 direction. assuming they are correctly set at 14.6

Before you open the carbs up try removing the inline fuel filter and see if your problem goes away.  Most automotive fuel filters are too restrictive to work on a gravity fed motorcycle.
