Title: electrical issues
Post by: 2nd2last1 on January 02, 2010, 05:29:48 AM
Well I was trying to fit a new headlight coz my old one smashed. Everything was running sweet so I tested the headlight one last time before I put everything back together. As i was tsting the new light I heard a slight 'tick' then everything shut off. Now nothing goes. No dash lights, no headlights, no indicators no power to tick her over, NO NOTHING! Anyone got any ideas as to what it could be? or is it time to visit the motorcycle hospital?

I'm not very mechanically minded but do know people who are so any help is much appreciated.

What do you mean by "fit a new headlight"?  Where you replacing the bulb or wiring in a whole new setup?  Sounds like you shorted something and popped the 20A main fuse under the seat, its a little black box label 20A main and 20A spare.  Pop out the main and see if its blown.
