Since July 2009 (after 1 year of Suzuki GZ250 Marauder) I have a GS bought from Italy, almost 10.000km, 2003.
I've changed the oil (Motul 10W40), oil filter and tyres (Michelin Pilot Activ) and other 3000km, mostly made in urban zone. also changed the battery (Yuasa)

As you can see, the rear fender is cutted off (by the previous owner), the signal lights are changed; I plan to put a rear hugger from a Bandit400, proper rim stripes, to change the brake liquid... and many km... and a proper photo shooting
Most of the pictures will be posted here (http://www.gstwins.com/photogallery/thumbnails.php?album=lastupby&uid=10155)

Welcome! We don't have too many from out your way on the forum. I like the colors on your bike.
Very nice looking bike, I love how the engine/frame looks so clean compared to mine :D
nice bike. welcome to the forum.. is that a naked F with the E headlight conversion?
me too, nice and welcome.
I like rear net, practical. I put line of 1 inch (25mm) wide black tape on rear body, each side, to prevent scuffing by cords. Looks original.
Nice.
Warlock.. what Tank Bag are you using?
Michael
thank you all for your kind welcome!
the magnetic tankbag i'm using is a 8L (expandable at 11L) from louis.de (code 10025431 (http://www.louis.de/_407a062f697d61e0d5a31c21c064f3e10d/index.php?topic=artnr_gr&article_context=detail&grwgr=515&wgr=251&list_total=13&anzeige=0&artnr_gr=10025431));
I mostly ride the bike @work (around 25km per day), that's why i have so few km in 6-7 months of use, except the rainy days and weekend when i use my car;
I've chosen this bike, because is a suzuki, has a big gas tank, low fuel consuption and relatively more power resource @90kmph, on which my previous GZ250 at this speed is almost maximum (around 120-130kmph);
Ah, few months the carbs were cleaned and sync, the spark where changed (NGK - but not iridium ones);

I'd definitely say it's an OEM "E", as there is no oil cooler. ;)
oh, and a warm welcome to a new Euro-GS'er! :icon_mrgreen:
welcome! :cheers:

looks like an "F" tail though.. missed the lack of an oil cooler.. could be an "e".. i'm a damn rookie at this.. it's when i have you guys for. lol
I don't think the present or previous owner has bothered taking the oil cooler off...too much work, I wouldn't do it :icon_mrgreen:
2001+ "E" and 2004+ "F" tails are absolutely identical. ;)
:cheers:
EDIT-
Hint: "GS500" as it says on the tail tags (without "F") is a dead giveaway. :icon_mrgreen:
Is a 2003 GS500E, at the rear fender the rugged edge is clearly visible, imediately under the stop light.
Thank you all for the appreciations.
I am very pleased by this bike, i have plenty of power at 90-110kmph, an max speed that i reached was 150-160.. but for a short period of time, just for trying to see, the bike can do more than that, the speed is not for me... I am comfortable until max 120kmph, and my helmet (a Airoh SV55S - flip up) is very noisy over 90kmph
I thought they took the year off in 2003 for the conversion? Well, at least I know they did in the U.S. so they could do the oil cooler/fairing update!
Nice Bike! Faired is better though :flipoff:
