Hey people, it`s been awhile since i wrote at this pages. 4 years to be exact.
Latly i thought to myself that i want a gs500, and i had the phone of the man that i sold him the bike 4 years ago.
It was a realy luck, since he wanted to sell the bike at that period.
And that`s all. i bought my own bike :icon_mrgreen:
----------------------------
The bike is almost As Is, but i do have a issu that i would like to solve,
When i ride it, at almost any speed, if i realse the throttle (full realse) and then i turn it back to speed up, i get a similar sensation
That one will feel if the chain is not stretched. it feels as if the engine get a small "HIT" \ "POUNCH" so, as i wrote, very much like the feel of a chain that was not tighten enough.
But the chain is 100% stretched. :dunno_black:
thanks,
good 2 be back :) erez
Chain can have spots where its tight and spots where its too loose. Its uneven stretch in the chain, uneven wear in the sprocket etc.
Cool.
Buddha.
Thanks
I shoud have mention that i`m almost sure it`s a "punch" from the engine.
it`s like a chain punch, but, from the inside engine.
Might it be because of the famous washer shims ? the ring 1.0 mm at the camshaft that keep it tight ? (actually i replaced it in the past to 1.2 mm)
cheers
Yea maybe, but I've never heard of it needing to be replaced. Of course I welded to it and made it smaller on my 89. Cos after 48K the bugger was annoyingly loud, and was still @ .5 mm, too thin to let me stuff a shim under it.
Cool.
