okay guys i have jst found a nearby wreckers that sells many different tails.. im wondering ... which tail ( doesnt have to be r6 ) wud be thch e easiest to fit onto my Gs500f '05 WITHOUT the use of wielding and also is 130$ for r6 tail that is not broken just paints not so good i didnt check closely but the guy sed if ur respraying id choose this one. ALso Anyone can teach me how to respray the fairings wud help me so much. Materials / guide . thanks so much
also Is ther any nice side fairings that can be made to fit the gs500F ... i reallyreally really really really hate the gs500f fairings :( It looks so gayyy n big n wide Lol

R6 and R1 are the only really common tail swaps. They don't necessarily go on perfect, but they can be done relatively easy without welding. mine is a 98-2001ish R1 tail, and it's just a 1 seater I found no ebay so I don't have to worry about bracing the back for another seat, or coming up with a way to mount a removable cowl. Other people have gone all the way and mounted them with the rear seat that someone could sit on. I think the 2003 r6 also looks good, and if I was doing it again, I might go for one of those.
I've been thinking lately that a 2004-05 gsxr600-750 tail would fit nicely, but I haven't tried it.
The price sounds ok, assuming it's in good condition. I haven't seen too many people swap the front fairing. The GS is a very skinny bike, and most likely anything you put on there is going to look even wider than the original fairings.
