Title: How to adjust chain?
Post by: rger8 on January 07, 2010, 07:02:28 PM
Just the axle bolt and the two nuts at the end of the swing arm? I don't have a manual yet, I need one for my 2006 I just bought.

Thanks!

Sometimes the right hand side is stubborn to slide.  A recent thread explained how this can be the brake caliper mount that sgnags things up a bit.  When mine refused to slide on the right side, I got on the bike with the axle and adjusters lose, pushe dit backward abruptly and slammed on the rear brake.  After about three times it came loosened up and slid just like the left side.  I did not know about the brake part possibly being the snag.

This subject has been discussed ad nauseum. Try this thread http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=25216.0  and if it doesn't cover what you need use the "search" feature on Chain Adjustment I am sure you will find what you need.
