Title: Just posted another Ride Video
Post by: mister on January 24, 2010, 11:43:24 PM
Whilst the overall 300km route was the same as the one the previous video was filmed on, I was leading 17 bikes and a trike and shot all new video. And you see Different Footage of the route. A little straighter stuff at the start, some different tight twisties and a bit of the end destination. With many more fades than last time, to give greater variety.

As ride leader, I mentioned in the ride-brief that those who wanted to go faster through the twisties to ride up front behind me and to Go Go Go once I gave the signal. I had a Vstrom 650 (ride buddy from the previous ride), a CBF1000 and an 1100 cruiser of some description. Then the rest. The Vstrom went past me. The CBF1000 couldn't keep up with me! And I was pace riding!!! The cruiser did an alright job of barely keeping up with the CBF but was pleased he was able to at least stay in touch with the "Sports Bikes".

After the twisties we pulled over to let everyone else catch up before riding the final leg to the waterfall.

Anyway. Here's the video. You'll notice it's much clearer. I am using different editing software and this is my first go with it. Enjoy it...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Au2wHqhiTVI

Good thing too, eh? See how the oncoming traffic was also on the wrong side? See, we know they will be when we ride, so we have to do likewise otherwise we'd get hit.  :icon_mrgreen:
