Title: CompTia A+ Certification

hey all you fellow computer geeks and geekettes. just wondering if any of you have taken the A+ certification test recently and can give me any pointers or some type of idea what I can expect.  Hoping to get my scheduled within the next few months. Thanks in advance.  :cheers:

I took it about 10 years ago.. at that time it had 2 parts Hardware and software.. Thats about all I remember. Other than to fill a job requirement I found it useless. mine expired years ago.

I believe scottpA_GS is correct, there are two parts hardware and software.  I have had friends take it but i never have myself.  I believe they may have changed the test a little to deprecate some of the older technologies that will never be used again but not all.  Basically if you are good at memorization and already have a working knowledge of computer technologies you should be alright.

Yea, buddha remember everything - CPU = Communist Party of Uganda.
PCMCIA = People Cannot Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms.

i haven't taken it but did some studying for it was going to but ended up not having the time :-\ got study materials i found online torrents
