Title: Wiring Question..
Post by: dauphinc on February 02, 2010, 08:26:51 PM
In taking apart the aftermarket junk that was wired into my bike from the previous owner (self cancelling turn signals/all signals always on as running lights), I am forced to ask this. What does the turn signal relay look like? Where is it? I have gs500f 2007, so the positions may have changed from previous models. Just wondering so I can check her with my FLUKE multi-meter ;)
Thank you!

If i remember correctly i believe it is on the right side under the seat tucked behind the rear plastics.

Ah..I found it. Someone has replaced it with some aftermarket junk. So, where could I Get the OEM flasher?

Best place to find an oem one would be to find someone who is converting their blinkers to leds since in order to do so you need to change your flasher from the mechanical stock one to an electronic one.  I have an electronic one on mine with led blinkers but I bought the bike that way or else i would still have the part laying around in my garage collecting dust.  No idea how much a stock one would cost but you should be able to just use the one you have with any blinkers.

Unless it changes the blink rate to something either to fast or to slow i would probably just leave it in there.

Thing being is the module has a fault. Left signal-hold turn signal left to activate. Right signal- hold signal right and let go to activate. It's annoying and I want to shank the last owners eyeballs out.
