Title: Winter Project..yet another..(pics)
Post by: dauphinc on February 06, 2010, 02:59:54 PM
So because it's winter I decided to go from F to E and change some things around. woo. So anyway, here's some before and after pics. It feels faster for some reason, I guess it's because I can feel the wind. Either way, it's so exhilerating!(spelling?)

That's rock'n  :thumb: :thumb:

Of course, I do like naked better. Something more etheric / preternatural / grounding / at oneness with the environment / some other hairy fairy terms here, about it.

At first I thought you'd painted one side of the bike. Then I realised it was your helmet HA!

Those mirrors are rad. Are they convex (bulding out) so you get a view of the lane next to you?

Now that your bike's naked you'll need to let yourself get wet while riding. Don't go out while it's raining but let yourself get caught in the rain and keep riding. To feel the additional exhilaration.  :woohoo:

I appreciate it Mike. The mirrors are just some universal screw in types i found online..I'll let you know when i remember where I got them from..wanna say dennis kirk. They just provide a flat reflecting surface I believe, and they're wide enough to see everything.  And there is a whole feeling of one with the universe on her. (I just deemed 'er Butterbean.) hahhahaha.
The helmet+pants+jacket that are red hopefully give me a big look of a roadcone so the caged ones can see me.  :thumb:

I'm not sure, as I converted from F. I ordered the headlights and the mounts as well, but I'm pretty sure that your E headlight bracket would not work.

looks like your running the mirrors on the wrong side, and flipped over.  any reason why?

It's how they're made actually. I thought they were odd too, but they're bent right and left-to go on the different sides. If I were to bring the right over to the left, the mirror would not turn all the way around- they are adjustable to a point. I know it's crazy looking, but in person, they look right.  :thumb:

Can you order the bracket with the lights?

Don't personally dig the lights, but man is that bike clean.  VERY impressive bro.  I hope my little pile of dookie turns out half that nice.  Way to go on a clean build (so far)  :thumb:

Thanks man! I like to stay away from the overdone/ricer/too much harley blingage as possible, and keep it at the minimum of stuff, at the same time, make it look good. i guess it comes from messin with stuff since i was like 8, its just kinda something you learn. :thumb:

HAHAHHA! Johnny 5! That's an effin throw back right there! That's too funny though. I like that.  :D
Titty tassles are reserved for underneath the shirt sir, not out in the visible for everyone to see.  O0

Tell that to the "bikers" clubs here in MI.  I recently met a member who was in his 40's, bought his very first bike, and also his very first leather vest with patches, beanie helmet, AND a set of assless leather chaps!  That bike has more leather doodads than a cow, and more chrome than a Detroit Escalade!

I don't understand all the need for this junk, besides safety. Leather is a safe material for skidding, but my rocket wear is pretty good too, but it supposedly burns you more.  :icon_rolleyes: who knows. but to each his own..
I bet with all that chrome, it's not as safe because when you go down, the pair of flaming skull spikes on the bar ends may stick into your arm or something.

Lol, I always worry that since these guys seem to be the biggest tool's on bikes they're gonna get hurt bad.  Imagine landing on a screwdriver!  Now if your whole body is one big incredibly annoying tool... *shudders*  That and with heads that big the whiplash potential... my god... everyone raise a glass to these brave big headed space people...  :cookoo:
